Pilots with a Mac

If you are already using Google Calendars and you want to sync them to your iCal, Google now supports sync with iCal. Google created a setup program called colaboration that checks your Google Calendar and helps you set it up in iCal. We were using BusySync up until now and had few problems, but now that native syncing is avialable I have un-installed BusySync and am now syncing without it. Sorry BusySync, but development at Google has finally cought up. BusySync does allow for iCal syncing over a local lan if you need to sync iCalendars within a home or office. 

To get started with Google to iCal syncing head over to http://code.google.com/p/calaboration/ and download the syncing tool. There is a FAQ here that should answer any questions you might have. All in all it worked well for me.

No this is not about “Pilots” per se’ but this is a great article for any of you who are on the fence or don’t see the Mac entering the Enterprise (aka. Your Flight Department or Management Company).

People ask me about Virtual Machines and how to run Windows on their Mac all the time. click on the continue reading link and take a look at the photos, this is one of the reasons I don’t like parallels. Why does a company need to charge you for supplying the application you just purchased.
